DPC Is Back Like the Bozack

After an extended hiatus DPC is back blogging. A lot has happened since my last post, which entailed my retirement from "Proper Sports Coverage" in January 2017 and here we are again with me stepping down from a writing gig. My latest endeavor was as the Site Expert for Art of Gears and it was a pretty dope gig.

A Site Expert I ran the site and published whatever I wanted, as long as it pertained to cars or motorsports. I wrote about 100 posts for the site and I even visited my old stomping grounds at Phoenix International Raceway to cover the Spring NASCAR race. (Side note: It was always be PIR and I don't care whatever they change the name to.)

It was nice to be back at PIR for my tenth weekend of proper NASCAR coverage during my motorsports writing opus and they updated the Media Center. But due to Covid I think I was one of eight reporters covering the race, with post race interviews being handled via Zoom.

I ended up covering motorsports again after my brief tenure with Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auctions ended in March 2020 (I was a Covid layoff). It was a pretty dope gig wherein I wrote and edited car descriptions for the auction and worked with some good folks. I was beyond stoked to get the gig because I have never been able to pay my rent based on writing, hence working as a claims adjuster or insurance agent during my Examiner.com days.

There are other life changing events that have occurred since my last post and they will all be covered, to the best of my ability in the upcoming days and weeks.
